Alex Thagard is a global leader in both the business and military spheres. With 23 years’ experience as a US Air Force officer, followed by a decade in the business world, Alex was brought on to lead ATI’s strategy and sales team to expansion throughout the globe.
He was an airpower advisor to United States Ambassadors and Air Forces of Indonesia, Peru, and Thailand. He was responsible for Foreign Military Sales, Foreign Military Financing, air operations, and international training programs in these countries. While assigned in Peru, he was the first US Air Force officer ever to be decorated with the Medallion of Meritby the Peruvian Air Force. He has worked and lived in over 30 different countries.
Prior to joining ATI, Alex was the Director for Military Business Development at Chromalloy Gas Turbine and directed extensive international military sales programs. Before Chromalloy, Alex was the Senior Director of Business development at Field Aerospace in Oklahoma City.
Alex recently completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development, to prepare future leaders for the challenges of international business. He has a Master’s in Public Administration from Troy University. While in the US Air Force he graduated Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and the Defense Language Institute for both Thai and Spanish languages. Alex was a Special Operations Navigator, flying the MC-130P, C-130E, T-37, and T-43 aircraft. He has more than 3,100 flying hours.
